OUR PHILOSOPHY “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6 The above scripture sums up our philosophy. We believe in the importance of meeting the needs of children at their level of understanding and developing the whole person: Spirit, Soul and Body. We believe that all knowledge, including academics, has its ultimate standard of the truth - the Bible. We believe that children learn through various experiences. Our program is designed to foster learning through repetition, hands-on experiences, daily routines, and active play. These activities encourage independence, teach our children self-respect, self-confidence, self-discipline and help children develop a sense of unity. We believe the lessons that a child learns during the early stages of life have more to do with forming his/her character than all that he/she may learn in future years. Therefore, Biblical principles and Godly characteristics such as:

Faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, Godliness; brotherly kindness and love are taught on a daily basis. 

New theories, ideas and concepts of child development can always be found, mostly with little evidence of positive, long-term effects. However, the Word of God (Biblical principles of child development), still remains effective today with overwhelming results.

Faith Christian Academy offers the best in traditionally oriented education and uses the ABEKA curriculum.  Each age group has carefully designed lesson plans for their spiritual, social, and academic development. 

We will also teach honor from a Biblical perspective.  The reason we are faced with some of the challenges in our day is because of the diminishing honor of simple things such as saying “yes ma’am and “yes sir.”

Faith Christian Academy Child Development Center is dedicated to the development of the whole child.  The administrative and teaching staff will partner with you, the parents to ensure that we are providing an effective program for your child.

Our facility is equipped with the most modern, age appropriate equipment that promotes a child-friendly learning environment.  Our center’s capacity is for fifty (50) students.

We are a private child care development center that is sponsored by our local church, Faith Christian Center International.  We hold a religious exemption from licensure status through the Department of Social Services in the state of Virginia.
